Privacy policy

Giphabyte Studio is a Mac video-to-GIF app published by Machine Moving Image Creative Ltd. The app processes videos locally and does not send your videos, captions or exported GIFs to us.

Files you choose

When you import a video, the app reads its name, video duration, dimensions and video frames so you can trim, preview and convert it. It accesses only files you choose or drop into the app, subject to macOS permissions. Your source files are not changed.

What stays on your Mac

Clip order, In/Out markers, captions and conversion settings are held for the current editing session. The app creates temporary frame caches and GIF files during conversion. Frame caches are removed when conversion completes or fails. Discarding an export, clearing a project or quitting normally removes the generated temporary GIF. A crash or force quit may leave temporary files for macOS to manage.

Exports and cloud folders

You choose where to save each GIF. Saved GIFs stay there until you move or delete them. If you save into a folder managed by iCloud or another cloud-storage service, that service may sync the file according to your settings. Your backups may also include files. Those processes are controlled by you and the relevant services.

No collection or tracking

The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party SDKs. It does not collect personal data, upload media or send diagnostic reports to us. Apple may separately process purchase, App Store or operating-system diagnostics information under its own privacy policy and your settings.

Support

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and investigate the issue. Please do not send private source videos unless you intend to share them. We retain support correspondence while needed to resolve your request and maintain the support record, and delete it when no longer needed, subject to any applicable legal retention requirement. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence by emailing info@wearemachine.co.uk.

This website

These pages have no advertising, analytics scripts, embedded social widgets or contact form. The hosting provider necessarily receives connection information, such as an IP address and browser request, to deliver the website and operate its service. Visiting these pages or opening an email link is separate from the app’s local media processing.

Your controls

Remove a clip to release its session access. Dump GIF removes the generated export while preserving the edit. Clear all removes the session clips and generated export. Quit normally to end file access and clean up the current temporary result. Manage saved GIFs and your original videos in Finder. We cannot access or remotely delete your local files.
